Our Story

Living Stones Ministries has a long history of connection within the Middlebury community, dating back before 1951.  Originally created as the Stone Lake Church of God, the church family has grown and matured into an organization focused on supporting our local community and families.  Over the years there have been several pastors who have lead the church.  Pastor David Garty joined the community in 1995 as the senior pastor, rebranding the ministry to Living Stones Christian Fellowship.  Pastor Ray Caples joined the ministry in 2008, becoming senior pastor in 2014, rebranding and expanding the community to Living Stones Ministries.  Pastor Dave has a doctorate in family counseling, and can provide many counseling services for individuals and families.  His counseling services also include crisis intervention and critical incident debriefings.  Pastor Ray holds several counseling certificates, and specializes in youth and family issues.  His experience and training involving youth related mental health concerns places him in a unique position to guild youth and families.
